S3 E23 A Conversation with Jeremy Miller

The man is an actor, author, producer, chef, and now he's also a Fanacek guest!  That's right, one of the stars of one of the greatest sitcoms ever engaged 'ol Fanacek in some pleasant conversation.  We discussed his career and what he's up to now.  We also touched upon some fun topics like working with Brad Pitt, being part of the Peanuts family, dating Danica McKellar, and working with Robin Williams.  It was a blast!  We also hit on some serious stuff like Jeremy's recovery, the murder of Rebecca Schaeffer, Jeremy's experience with  stalker,  and the death of Corey Haim.  He was very candid, a great guest and I hope you enjoy the interview.

S3 E22 Jeremy Miller gets the Fanacek treatment

Growing Pains is one of the juggernaut sitcoms of the 80s, making Jeremy Miller sitcom royalty.  (I have the power to annoint).  I grew up watching Jeremy but had never done a deep dive on his credits until now.  He's worked with some heavy hitters...Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Stefanie Powers, Barry Bostwick, and David Spade amongst others.  I also identified 3 awesome connections to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so I'm very proud of myself.  And proud of Jeremy. S3 E21 An Interview with Jeremy Licht

I grew up watching Jeremy Licht every week on Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family.  Sometimes it's not so great to meet folks like this because they can be...disappointing.  This was not the case with Jeremy Licht.  He's awesome and very generous with his time!  We spend an hour discussing his career while he indulged me with all my nerdy questions.  We discussed the impact Twilight Zone and Valerie had on his life and career.  We also touched on working on the set of Angie, Scott Baio's pretty girlfriend, an interesting situation with Corey Feldman, and his upcoming project Seat 23B.

S3 E20 Jeremy Licht gets the Fanacek treatment

Jeremy Licht has had a hell of a career.  He's worked with legends like James Woods, John Ritter, Hal Linden, Timothy Hutton, Sally Field, and Ned Beatty.  You probably know him best from projects like Twilight Zone The Movie where he took over the part originally made famous by Bill Mumy in "It's a good life".  He was also in a little TV show called Valerie, briefly called Valerie's Family, and later known as The Hogan Family.  It's a classic.  And this episode is a classic.  Enjoy!

S3 E19 An Interview with Bennett Yellin

You may not know his name, but you damn well know his work.  Bennett wrote Dumb and Dumber!  He gave us Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne.  He enriched our lives with lines like "Our pets heads are falling off"! He made me a better father by providing with me with one of the greatest toilet scenes ever filmed so that I can show my children just how hilarious diarrhea can be!  And...he's a mensch.  Bennett was really generous with his time as we talked about meeting Peter Farrelly, starting his writing career, making Dumb and Dumber, and tons of other stuff.  He gives us a great Eddie Murphy story and reveals the genesis of Fraida Felcher!  Enjoy!

90 minutes with Mr. Andre Gower!  Andre was very generous with his time and indulged all of my questions.  We dove into all of his cool acting credits.  He shared lots of behind the scenes info regarding roles he almost got, the crowd going nuts at his Mr. Belvedere taping, and George C. S3 E17 Andre Gower gets the Fanacek treatment

Andre Gower had had a hell of a career.  You probably know him best as Sean from the 1987 classic The Monster Squad.  But guess what? He's also done The A-Team, Knight Rider, TJ Hooker, Mr. Belvedere and tons of other Fanacek favorites.  So, in an effort to celebrate Andre, I take a deep dive into his career and credits.  Along the way I also touch on my brief addiction to The Young and the Restless, the crazy rape scene in Straw Dogs, my anger over the cancellation of I'm Dying Up Here, and not to brag, but I make three different Terminator references.  I'm an artist.

S3 E16 An Interview with author Dwayne Epstein

Dwayne Epstein is a New York Times best selling author.  His new book is "Killin' Generals, The Making of the Dirty Dozen the most iconic WWII movie of all time".  I've read it and its great.  The book takes us from the author's novel, to pre-production, to principal photography, to the public's reception of the film and its influence on countless films since.  Along the way, details and fun stories are revealed that make the movie an even richer experience when you watch it again.  If you love the movie, you'll love the book.  If you've never seen the movie, rent it on Amazon and then read the book.  If you've seen the movie and you don't like it...then you're wrong and I will never understand you!

We're trying something new folks.  I thought I would do an old school Fanacek style IMDB deep dive on 'ol Bruce Vilanch in addition to publishing my interview with said Bruce Vilanch.  Yep, I'm working twice as hard for my loyal, beloved listeners.  In this episode, I explore the legendary writing career of this two time Emmy Winner.  We also touch on Charo (not literally touch), Bea Arthur in the Star Wars universe, Kathy Hilton and the fake Jan Brady, Paul Lynde, and Tom Jones looking like  brother.  It's pretty, pretty, pretty,.....pretty good.
